Job Description
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is seeking a General Activities Therapist to plan, conduct, and implement recreational activities for inmates. The successful candidate will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to analyze, assess, and evaluate treatment goals and activities.

Requirements

  • 30 months of experience with coaching, personal training, &/or fitness instruction
  • 30 months of experience providing work direction to incarcerated persons & training &/or development
  • Associate degree in recreation and 12 months of experience in activity therapy or recreation
  • Undergraduate core program in recreation and 6 months of experience in activity therapy or recreation
  • 6 months of experience as General Activities Therapist 1
  • Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment
