Role Overview

The General Activities Therapist 2 will plan, conduct, and monitor general recreation, personal development, and therapeutic activities for inmates. They will serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team, analyzing and defining treatment goals and activities. The role requires observing participants, serving in an instructional capacity, and preparing documentation. Security functions and various work-related tasks are also part of the job.

Requirements

  • 30 months of experience in coaching, personal training, or fitness instruction

  • Associate degree in recreation
  • 12 months of experience in activity therapy or recreation
  • Undergraduate core program in recreation with 6 months of experience in activity therapy or recreation
  • 6 months of experience as a General Activities Therapist 1
  • Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment
