Role OverviewThe General Cleaner cleans and maintains areas such as classrooms, bathrooms, offices, cafeterias, common areas, gym, and fitness areas, and perimeter grounds. Duties involve sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing floors; removing trash or other refuse; dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures; polishing metal fixtures or trimmings; providing supplies and minor maintenance services; and cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining areas, responding to requests from Principals and teachers, policing entrance areas, cleaning up after meals, dusting and mopping floors, taking out trash, changing light bulbs, and performing general cleaning tasks.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under minimum supervision. They should be physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs. and be able to stand for long lengths, walk, bend, reach, stretch, push, pull, and lift repetitively during working hours.
