General Cleaner job responsible for performing a variety of cleaning activities in assigned buildings/facilities, keeping them clean, sanitary and orderly.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic operations of janitorial work
  • Basic methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial work
  • Basic safe work practices
  • Use of toxic and non-toxic chemicals (per MSDS sheets)
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Sufficiently communicate with co-workers and supervisors
  • Operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment
  • Interpret written instructions and warning labels on cleaning chemicals
  • Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities
