Job Description
Perform a variety of cleaning activities in assigned buildings/facilities, keeping them clean, sanitary, and orderly. Responsible for dusting, sanitizing, spot cleaning, bathroom cleaning, emptying trash cans, floor dusting or vacuuming, grounds care, and customer relations.

Requirements

  • Basic operations of janitorial work
  • Basic methods, materials, and equipment used in janitorial work
  • Basic safe work practices
  • The use of toxic and non-toxic chemicals (per MSDS sheets)
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers and supervisors
  • Ability to operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment
  • Ability to interpret written instructions and warning labels on cleaning chemicals
