Job Description
The Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) is seeking a General Counsel to serve as the chief legal officer and advisor to the Commissioner and executive leadership. The General Counsel will lead the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) and set ACS’s legal strategy across program, policy, operational, and compliance matters.

Requirements

  • Admission to the New York State Bar
  • Four years of recent full-time responsible, relevant, satisfactory legal experience subsequent to admission to any bar
  • Eighteen months of experience in supervision of other attorneys, in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity, or performing highly complex and significant legal work
