Role OverviewThe General Laborer plays a vital role in supporting the efficient flow of production within the metal building insulation operation. This position is responsible for safely preparing and loading fiberglass insulation and facing materials into laminators, as well as starting, wrapping, identifying, and unloading finished laminated products.
What You Will Do
Load, unload, and transport raw materials (fiberglass insulation and facing) and finished laminated rolls to maintain continuous laminator production. Verify materials are delivered to and from production areas in the correct order, quantity, and specification to prevent production interruptions.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The General Laborer also packages unfaced materials for shipment, assists with truck loading and unloading, and supports Machine Operators and Material Handlers to ensure continuous laminator and band saw operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling operations preferred.
- Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
- Familiarity with fiberglass insulation, facing materials, or metal building insulation manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely perform duties in a production environment.
