Role OverviewThe General Manager is responsible for leading all operational activities at Inland Plywood's Pontiac, Michigan location. This role provides oversight of office operations, warehouse activities, transportation, inventory management, facilities, fleet assets, and personnel while partnering closely with the Business Unit Director to execute strategic objectives.

Oversee and support all day-to-day business operations, ensuring efficient execution across office, warehouse, transportation, and customer service functions. Develop a comprehensive understanding of all operational processes and business activities, becoming proficient in all non-accounting functions of the business.

Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive operations, distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, building products, or industrial leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Management, or related field preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a continuous improvement mindset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience managing inventory, warehouse operations, transportation, and customer fulfillment processes
- Forklift operation experience and willingness to work directly within warehouse operations when required
- Ability to operate or learn to maneuver commercial vehicles and trailers within company property
- Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and effective while managing multiple competing priorities
