Role OverviewThe General Production Worker is responsible for processing, screening, and packaging product to ensure product meets or exceeds customer expectations. GPW’s must follow all safety, GMP, and quality processes in every step of production to ensure the integrity of the product and the safety of all team members.
What You Will Do
Inspect product on various lines to check for foreign material and to make sure product meets customer specifications such as proper color, size, shape, etc. Properly stack product to maintain accurate case counts for each product. Assemble and tape boxes in fast pace to keep up with production lines. Pack product in boxes based on customer specifications, ensuring proper weight and product count.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be willing to train new hires and transferred team members. Must be willing to learn all general production positions as positions will rotate on regular basis throughout shift and may include both departments (corn and flour).
Requirements
- Must be able to perform duties on GPW Training Checklist job tasks within expected training period.
- Must be able to follow direction and stay on task with little to no supervision.
- Must be able to effectively communicate to colleagues and management in professional manner.
- Must be able to read and understand the GMP operation standards, manuals, and related documentation as written.
