Role Overview

The Generalist Teacher (Grades: EC-5) will develop and implement lesson plans, establish efficient classroom management procedures, and maintain standards of pupil behavior. The teacher will also continually evaluate and record students' progress and report to parents as needed. The teacher will work within the course of study for the subject area at the grade level as prescribed in state law or adopted by the school district.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Generalist Teacher (Grades: EC-5) include developing and implementing lesson plans, presenting subject matter according to guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency, and establishing efficient classroom management procedures. The teacher will also continually evaluate and record students' progress and report to parents as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
  • valid Texas teacher certificate with required endorsements for subject and subject level assigned

  • ability to follow specific instructions with little or no previous experience

  • Minimum Salary: $67,500 (non-certified) / $68,000 (certified)
