Geologist 1/Environmental Scientist 1

As a Geologist I/Environmental Scientist I at HDR, you will administer planning and development of SOPs, field sampling plans, and other baseline documents to support remedial investigations, site characterizations, and risk assessments. You will also sample soil, surface water, groundwater, sediment, and other environmental media, and operate various types of monitoring equipment in the field. You will work independently on small projects, work in teams on larger projects, and assist more-senior scientists and engineers on client deliverables.

What You Will Do

Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include planning and developing SOPs, field sampling plans, and other baseline documents, sampling of soil, surface water, groundwater, sediment, and other environmental media, and operating various types of monitoring equipment in the field. You will also evaluate and tabulate data to support site interpretations and reports, and coordinate with and oversee subcontractors.
