Job Description
At HDR, we're looking for a Geologist I to travel to perform oversight of drilling operations and conduct field visits to observe construction activities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a closely related field, and excellent writing and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Travel required to perform oversight of drilling operations, including logging and classifying soil and rock materials
  • Set up field exploration programs and coordinate with subcontractors
  • Conduct field visits to observe construction activities, including earthwork and foundation installations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment assisting senior geotechnical staff
  • Perform assignments exercising judgement in evaluation, selection, and modification of standard geologic techniques and procedures
