Role OverviewThe Geotechnical Drill Assistant will work in a fast-paced, safety-first environment, operating independently in the field with a small team of 2-3 people. They will assist with drilling borings, collecting soil samples, and logging and recording soil conditions and sample information.
What You Will Do
The Geotechnical Drill Assistant will load and unload drilling equipment, tools, and supplies, follow and support drill rig operations, and maintain detailed field records.

Requirements
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Acceptable criminal background history
- Class A CDL with air brake endorsement preferred
- Ability to read and interpret basic site plans, maps, and related documents
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Willingness to work outdoors year-round in a variety of weather conditions
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds multiple times throughout the workday
- Ability to stand and work on asphalt, uneven terrain, or muddy conditions for up to 10 hours per day
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a two- or three-person crew
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to fieldwork and problem-solving
