Job Description
GI Tech responsible for assisting in the complex and critical job of endoscope and equipment decontamination / reprocessing. Assist with equipment & procedure room preparation, setup, calibration prior to procedures; procedure room breakdown; specimen collection in the GI LAB, inventory control, and scope reprocessing.

Requirements

  • At least one year of Surg Tech/GI Tech experience
  • Completion of education from accredited surgical technician program or certified as GI Technician
  • BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Knowledge and adherence to GI Lab policies and procedures following orientation
  • Ability to travel between Community MPU sites as necessary
