Job Description
Urban GIS, Inc. seeks a GIS Technician to support engineering and utility projects by managing geospatial data, producing technical drawings, and assisting with permitting and documentation workflows.

Requirements

  • Maintain and update GIS databases to support utility and infrastructure projects
  • Prepare KMZ files using Google Earth/Maps for field deployment and spatial planning
  • Produce AutoCAD drawings to support cable replacement, permitting, and construction documentation
  • Support telecom equipment applications and permitting workflows using Alden One
  • Assist with asset management, construction planning, and documentation for electrical and telecom systems
  • Review incoming data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GIS and CAD standards
  • Create maps, exhibits, and technical visuals for internal and external stakeholders
