Role OverviewCentraCare's Graduate Nurse Residency Program is a year-long, paid program for new graduate RNs. The program provides monthly training, mentoring, and support to help nurses transition from student to professional nurse. The program is available at multiple locations in Minnesota, including Paynesville, Melrose, Sauk Centre, Long Prairie, Willmar, and St. Cloud Hospital.
What You Will Do
As a graduate nurse in this program, you will work in a variety of settings and units, with shifts and FTEs varying by unit. You will be expected to work day/night rotations, straight night shifts, and possibly straight evening shifts, with weekend requirements every other weekend or every third weekend.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This program is designed for nurses with less than 1 year of RN experience. You will be considered for all new grad RN openings at CentraCare by applying to this program. You will have the opportunity to earn a bonus of $3,500 to $5,000, depending on the unit, and relocation pay of $5,000 is available to eligible candidates.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Have a Minnesota RN license by start date
- Less than 1 year of RN experience
- BSN required to be completed within 3 years of hire (St. Cloud only)
