Grant Development & Administration Specialist

The Grant Development & Administration Specialist is primarily responsible for identifying, researching, and pursuing grant funding opportunities that support the organization's strategic initiatives and the needs of its schools. This role is responsible for assisting with the preparation and submission of federal, state, local, and private grant applications, as well as evaluating grant opportunities identified by schools to determine eligibility, feasibility, and alignment with organizational priorities.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Compliance team and other internal stakeholders to gather the information necessary to prepare accurate, competitive, and timely grant applications while ensuring compliance with applicable grant requirements. This position will also provide operational support to the Grants team during peak workload periods by assisting with grant draws, amendments, reporting, and other post-award activities to help ensure schools maximize available funding and maintain compliance with grant requirements.

This individual must be organized, detail-oriented, have an aptitude for research, be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications, with an emphasis on Excel, and have experience managing projects and grant lifecycles from inception to completion. Experience working with IDEA Maintenance of Effort (MOE) requirements is preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Ability to obtain IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card within 90 days of employment
• Pass satisfactory applicable state background check and pre-employment background check
• 1+ year in the public education sector
• 1+ year of grant management experience
• 1+ year managing large datasets in Excel
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams
