Job Description
The Grants Accountant is responsible for developing and implementing accounting systems for grant recording and reporting, performing various accounting tasks, and maintaining strong financial controls to ensure compliance with federal/state rules and regulations. The position will work closely with the Advancement and Development areas and the Finance Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a not-for-profit and in grant accounting.
  • Working knowledge and experience with PC-based and automated accounting systems, and advanced experience with Excel (v=lookups, Pivot tables, etc.).
  • Ability to manage detailed work and maintain confidentiality, lead meetings, and present financial information to Program management and executive staff.
