Job Description
The Grants Management Specialist role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of a large portfolio of restricted grants. The GMS will work closely with Program Specialists, Policy Analysts, Contract Management Specialist, Managers, and Directors to ensure the smooth administration of grants from pre-award to closeout.

Requirements

  • Manage the full lifecycle of a large portfolio of restricted grants
  • Work with the programmatic team to develop budgets to support the scope of work in grant proposals
  • Manage the proposal submission process and the associated attachments to the proposal
  • Conduct grant intake meetings to ensure clear plan for deliverable and compliance
  • Manage allocations of allowable expenses to restricted grants
  • Routinely monitor and report on grant spending against budgeted line items for both external submission and internal financial analysis
  • Lead discussions on programmatic budgets and grant spend down analyses with recommendations on modifications to the budget or spending plan, as needed
  • Manage the creation and submission of invoices to funders
  • Lead reporting cycles through timely and consistent communication with program, data, and finance teams
  • Prepare report templates, monitor completion statuses, send reminders as needed, and review, compile and submit final reports for timely submission
  • Provide financial reporting for grant closeouts
  • Update and maintain grants management database
  • Other duties as assigned
