Role OverviewThe Graphic Designer will create print and digital materials to boost civic participation in NYC. The ideal candidate will work well independently and alongside other collaborators, with an inclusive mindset, and be well-versed in accessible design.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include creating informational and outreach materials for voter education and engagement, producing images, illustrations, and infographics for social media and website graphics, and supporting the quality assurance (QA) and review of multilingual digital and out-of-home (OOH) assets for all seasonal Get Out the Vote’ (GOTV) campaigns.

Requirements
- Advanced understanding of typography, layout, balance, and color
- Knowledge of fundamental design standards (kerning, leading, rags, etc.)
- Intermediate knowledge and experience with print production
- Knowledge and experience in accessibility design
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communicator
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain flexible and calm while managing a high volume of work
- Works well with others and collaborates respectfully and responsively with colleagues and external vendors, requesting support when needed
