Join WABI's 10-week paid Engineering Internship and get real, hands-on experience in broadcast RF, AV, and IT systems with a front-row seat to full-time opportunities across Gray Media's 113 stations nationwide.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment: You're a college Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Broadcast Technology, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A 'doer' mindset: You aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves, pick up a tool, and tackle a technical challenge head-on.
  • Tech curiosity: You have a foundational understanding of professional audio/video equipment, computer networking, and operating systems, and a hunger to learn more.
  • Strong work ethic: You bring urgency, organization, a positive attitude, and a 'can-do' spirit to every shift, and you work well with others across departments and disciplines.
  • Reliability: You're ready to commit to the full 10-week program, the 25-hour weekly schedule, and the occasional flexible hour that a live, 24/7 broadcast environment demands.
  • Physical readiness: Ability to perform basic physical tasks, including bending and lifting to 50 lbs; occasional work on ladders or in confined spaces may be required.
  • Passion for local media: You care about the community and want to see firsthand how local television technology makes a real difference every single day.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
