Role OverviewThe Greenskeeper is responsible for maintaining the golf course's turf and landscapes to ensure optimal playability and aesthetic appeal. This role involves performing a range of tasks related to turf management, including mowing, fertilizing, and irrigation, as well as managing landscape areas around the course.
What You Will Do
Mow greens, fairways, tees, and roughs to maintain proper height and playability. Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides according to the agronomy plan and safety guidelines. Water turf areas as needed, ensuring optimal moisture levels and adjusting irrigation systems as required.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have prior knowledge in landscape management, greenhouse operations, or groundskeeping maintenance. The Greenskeeper must be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and humidity, and be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Prior knowledge in landscape management, greenhouse operations, or groundskeeping maintenance preferred
