Job Description
The Grooms Bib is responsible for handing out numbered bibs to the groom, checking with the Paddock Judge, and providing schooling vests. The role requires extensive equine knowledge and 3-5 years of experience in the racetrack industry. The position involves working in a smoking environment with cold and hot temperatures, rain, wind, sun, dust, animals, and insects.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and/or College experience
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in racetrack industry at a management level
  • Excellent verbal, mathematics, interpersonal, communication and writing skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems, offer recommendations, decision making, ability to make quick accurate decisions independently
  • Extensive equine knowledge, types of racing and all racing industry requirements
