Role OverviewThe Grounds and Maintenance Specialist performs a variety of manual labor, groundskeeping, and maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep, safety, and beauty of cemetery grounds and facilities. This position involves working independently or with a team and using appropriate safety procedures and equipment while performing duties related to burials, monuments, landscaping, and general property maintenance.
What You Will Do
Perform groundskeeping tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, raking, weeding, planting, and tree/shrub maintenance. Perform maintenance, repair, and construction of cemetery facilities and grounds. Assist with burial, entombment, and interment operations, and setting up equipment.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have physical strength, agility, and endurance for bending, squatting, kneeling, and prolonged standing/walking. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs individually and more with assistance. Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and accept feedback.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
