Role OverviewMaintains and repairs gasoline powered grounds maintenance equipment, performs related work as required, and advises on proper techniques for operation, servicing, and use of grounds equipment.
What You Will Do
Repairs and maintains a variety of equipment, including push and riding mowers, yard vacuums, root cutters, stump grinders, and other equipment; performs diagnostic and repair work on low horsepower gasoline engines; and sharpens mower blades, root and stump grinder teeth, and other equipment.
Why It Might Be a Fit
A successful candidate requires knowledge of repair and maintenance of two and four cycle engines, hydraulic systems, and safety precautions; ability to operate machine shop equipment, perform general mechanical repair and maintenance work, and read and understand electric wiring diagrams.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Two years of experience in the general repair and maintenance of combustion engines
- Valid Class C California Driver License
- Ability to read and write English at a level required for successful job performance
