Role OverviewThe Grounds Generalist provides quality grounds presentation throughout The Center at Donaldson's properties, working to create and maintain a safe and visually pleasing physical environment. This role involves general landscaping and grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, pruning, seeding, fertilizing, and water sprinkling. The Grounds Generalist must use sound judgment to avoid making mistakes that could cause injury or damage to the physical plant, the environment, or the community.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include providing ground maintenance work, cutting grass areas, shrubbery, trees, and floral displays; diagnosing and repairing grounds equipment; collaborating with coworkers to promote a team environment; and assisting in maintaining a respectful and well-manicured cemetery. The Grounds Generalist will also help inventory, plan for, and order materials needed to maintain gardens, landscapes, and grounds.

Requirements
- High school education or equivalent required
- Three to five years working directly in an exterior/grounds care capacity
- Experience in general landscaping and grounds maintenance
- Ability to climb, lift, and carry heavy objects
- Ability to use sound judgment at all times
- Common sense and familiarity with mechanical equipment
- Knowledge of chemical procedures as related to grounds and landscaping
