Role Overview

This position is primarily responsible for maintaining grounds across VMRC's campus as well as maintaining equipment in a safe and well-cared-for condition. The groundskeeper will work Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with the possibility of changes during summer or winter months.

The main day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining grounds, equipment, and performing strenuous physical tasks in all types of weather.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three months experience in groundskeeping field preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Current Virginia driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles/equipment
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written assignments in the English language
