Role OverviewThe Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining and upkeeping the parish athletic fields, primarily lining and marking the soccer field, and disposing of trash. This is a part-time position averaging 3 hours per week.
What You Will Do
Line and mark the soccer field accurately, repaint field lines, pick up litter, empty trash bins, dispose of collected garbage, and monitor field conditions.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Previous groundskeeping experience is preferred but not required.
Requirements
- Reliable and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately measure and mark athletic fields
- Ability to safely operate field-lining equipment
- Ability to lift and transport garbage from trash receptacles
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working outdoors
- Dependable transportation and the ability to complete assigned duties according to the field schedule
