Job Description
The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the foundation of community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Group Ex Instructor will be responsible for instructing group training classes in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that welcomes people of all skill and fitness levels.

Requirements

  • Area of Expertise certification
  • CPR certification
  • First Aid certification
  • AED certification
  • National certification (ACSM, ACE, AFAA, ISSA, NASM, NESTA, NETA, NPTI, NSCA) in personal training
  • 1 year of experience teaching group wellness classes
  • Proven knowledge of exercise science, movement coaching, and movement competency
  • Completion of YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certification within 60 days of hire
