Role OverviewThe YMCA is seeking certified Group Fitness Instructors to lead quality group fitness classes and provide excellent customer service to members in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment.
What You Will Do
Lead group fitness classes, maintain accurate class attendance records, and respond to emergency situations in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires certifications in group fitness instruction, customer service, and communication skills, with a preferred 1 year of experience teaching group fitness classes.
Requirements
- Certified Group Fitness Instructor Certification
- CPR/AED
- National Certification (ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) in group fitness instruction or YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise Certification
- Certification in areas of expertise (Cardio, Strength, Yoga, Cycle, Mat Pilates, Dance, ForeverWell, Silver Sneakers, etc.)
- YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certification
- Demonstrated customer service and communication skills
