Job Description
D&S Community Services provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Group Home Caregiver will assist people with personal hygiene, support individuals with behavioral challenges, and develop real relationships with the individuals they serve.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license held for at least 12 months after permit
  • Intermediate & Learner's Permits do NOT qualify
  • Schedules Available: Full-time: 32+ hrs/week
  • Please Note: We do not offer traditional Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedules. Shifts are based on client needs and may include: 16-hour overnight shifts (4:00 PM – 8:00 AM), Weekend shifts (Saturday and/or Sunday), Varying hours depending on staffing needs
  • Driver: Full valid Driver's license held for 12 months post permit (Intermediate and Learner’s Permits DO NOT qualify)
  • Vehicle: Reliable and registered vehicle with proof of insurance used to transport clients
  • Education: If younger than 21 YO, High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred
  • Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management
  • Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible
