Job Description
We are looking for a Hatchery Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to monitor and verify hatchery processes to ensure compliance with company standards, food safety regulations, and animal welfare guidelines.

Requirements

  • Verify incubation, ventilation, and sanitation programs are operating correctly
  • Perform calibration of incubation equipment and environmental controls
  • Conduct fertility and hatch residue breakouts to confirm proper incubation
  • Perform microbial plating and bacterial testing according to schedules
  • Monitor chick quality, rectal temperatures, and box counts
  • Verify compliance with GMPs, HACCP, SSOP, and biosecurity protocols
  • Compile and analyze data from incubation trials and QA audits
  • Maintain accurate records of hatch rates, mortality, and sanitation checks
  • Report deficiencies and assist in corrective actions
  • Conduct monthly audits of hatchery programs
  • Ensure adherence to NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state, and federal regulations
  • Assist with vaccine mixing and backup duties in processing
  • Communicate effectively with hatchery management and production teams
  • Follow all safety policies and wear required PPE
