Role OverviewThe Utility Team Member is responsible for working in all areas of the Hatchery, with primary responsibilities being to work on the transfer crew and chick processing crew as needed.
What You Will Do
Trays eggs from farm racks into incubator racks, loads incubators, cleans and disinfects incubators, hatchers, egg room, processing rooms, and hatchery equipment.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must learn and back up all chick processing and transfer team positions, assists in training new team members, and participates in safety audits and SOP reviews.
Requirements
- Ability to work in positions requiring data collection and entry
- Ability to push/pull wheeled carts weighing up to 1,000 pounds
- Must have or be willing to obtain valid PIT license (pallet jack and scissor lift)
- Ability to work in wet, dusty, loud conditions
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Good mechanical abilities
- Ability to adapt and learn various positions and procedures
- Good math and computer skills
- Ability to work varying hours, weekends, and holidays
