Job Description
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio is seeking a Hazardous Materials Investigation Specialist 2 (Civil Forfeiture Compliance Officer) to assess civil forfeiture actions, conduct compliance reviews, and provide guidance on hazardous materials safety standards. The position involves working with carriers and shippers to ensure adherence to laws and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Assess civil forfeiture actions within existing software systems
  • Conduct compliance reviews and prepare Reports of Violation (ROVs)
  • Lead telephone conferences with Respondents who request the removal of violations or a reduction in civil forfeiture assessments
  • Engage with carriers and shippers to ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulatory requirements
  • Provide guidance to drivers, shippers, and carriers on hazardous materials safety standards and compliance expectations
