Role OverviewThe Head Basketball Coach is responsible for supervising assistant coaches, volunteers, and managers, and for the daily operation of the basketball program, including budget management. The coach must identify and recruit academically qualified student athletes and promote their academic and athletic well-being.
What You Will Do
The coach will perform components of the sports program, teach sports-specific fundamentals and strategies, and coordinate scheduling and travel arrangements for team travel and recruiting.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- Demonstrated a minimum of three (3) years of successful coaching experience with NAIA or NCAA
- Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability and success in teaching the skills and fundamentals of the sport
- Knowledge of and commitment to NAIA rules and regulations
- Ability to organize and motivate student-athletes to maximum performance level
- Proven experience in recruiting highly motivated and qualified student-athletes
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of the institution, AMC, and NAIA athletics
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Missouri Class E driver's license and meet university's insurance requirements for driving college vehicles
- Current certification in first aid, CPR, and AED use
