Job Description
The Head Mechanic will be responsible for performing mechanical repairs on various equipment, maintaining a preventative maintenance program, and managing expenses. The ideal candidate will have a certificate from a college or technical school, and experience managing personnel.

Requirements

  • Maintains a preventative maintenance program on all equipment
  • Inspects, adjusts, diagnoses and repairs mechanical defects in many types of golf course maintenance equipment
  • Manages expenses in the maintenance of the equipment fleet
  • Ensures accurate records of preventative maintenance, repairs made, parts ordered are kept
  • Assists the Manager in interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work
  • Manages personnel, including Assistant Mechanics
