Head of Binding

The Head of Binding is responsible for the leadership, growth, profitability, and operational performance of Wholesure's Binding business. This role is accountable for driving profitable revenue growth, expanding carrier and underwriting relationships, developing high-performing teams, and delivering exceptional service to retail agency partners. Reporting to the Managing Director, Wholesure, the Head of Binding serves as the senior leader for the Binding business, partnering closely with executive leadership to execute strategic priorities while overseeing the day-to-day management of underwriting, production, operations, and financial performance.

Key responsibilities include leading the overall performance and strategic direction of the Wholesure Binding business, developing and executing business plans that drive sustainable, profitable growth, identifying opportunities to expand products, markets, carrier partnerships, and distribution capabilities, and championing a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and exceptional client service.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, or a related discipline
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within wholesale insurance, delegated authority, MGA, or specialty insurance
• Significant experience leading Binding operations
• Demonstrated P&L management experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance products
• Proven experience building and managing carrier relationships and negotiating binding authority agreements
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship management skills
