Job Description
Lycia Therapeutics is a biotechnology company using a lysosomal targeting chimera (LYTAC) platform to discover and develop therapeutics for various difficult-to-treat diseases, such as autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. The Company, founded in 2019 with collaboration from Stanford University and Carolyn Bertozzi, seeks a Senior Director of Intellectual Property to guide the legal strategy and portfolio management. The company is seeking to grow its team and move into a clinical stage company.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in therapeutics patent preparation and prosecution, portfolio management, invention harvesting, freedom-to-operate analysis, and third-party portfolio assessments.
  • Familiarity with proteins, antibodies, and conjugates thereof.
  • Familiarity with small molecules (including ligands and linkers) preferred.
  • Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
  • U.S. law degree (J.D.) and admission in good standing to any state bar required.
