Role OverviewThe Head of Operations Engineering US is responsible for leading the Operations Engineering group within the Global Industrialization team at the new state-of-the-art device manufacturing facility in North Charleston, South Carolina. The role involves developing a manufacturing excellence strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring efficient and sustainable resolution of complex technical issues. The Head of Operations Engineering will lead a local team of manufacturing experts, develop their technical and professional skills, and oversee activities related to technical and automated manufacturing.
What You Will Do
The main responsibilities of the Head of Operations Engineering include leading the development of a detailed manufacturing excellence strategy, establishing a strong collaboration with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Development leadership, and ensuring the technical and professional development of the team. The role also involves providing technical support and coordination of equipment and process design, development, build, installation, commissioning/validation, and sustaining to world-class O.E.E.

Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Science, or similar education/experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience in medical device development, engineering, and/or manufacturing
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in a relevant position
- Solid understanding of relevant production processes and systems
- Digitalization and automation experience/exposure
- Process and/or equipment qualification and validation experience
- Experience in executing complex problem-solving techniques related to design/process/technical issues
- Advanced knowledge of common problem-solving and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies
