Job Description
Sony Pictures Animation is seeking a Head of Story to translate scripts into visually compelling storytelling. The role involves collaborating with directors, writers, story artists, editors, and the Art Director to develop story concepts and manage the story development process. This position is part of The Animation Guild and focuses on creating innovative visual storytelling.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as Head of Story on animated feature films
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency using a Mac and/or Cintiq
  • Sound knowledge of story structure, character development, staging, and pacing
  • Ability to create action and humor expressed through drawing
  • Outstanding ability to create story ideas
  • Detail oriented with outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Flexible with environment changes
