Role OverviewThis position supports the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of children aged 3-5 through engaging lesson planning and intentional learning environments. The Assistant Teacher supports parent involvement in the development of child and family goals and objectives through case management.
What You Will Do
The Assistant Teacher will plan and implement engaging lesson plans, support parent involvement, and provide support and assistance to the Early Childhood Special Education Program when needed.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 6 months to 2 years of experience in education or childcare, a high school diploma or GED, and a willingness to acquire CPR certification within six months of hire.
Requirements
- Must be an enrolled Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Tribal Member
- 6 months to 2 years of similar or related experience in education or childcare
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or willingness to acquire within six months of hire
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Willingness to enroll in a Child Development Associates credential course within 30 days of hire and obtain CDA within 2 years of hire
