Role Overview

As the Assistant Teacher, you'll play an essential role in providing all aspects of a quality child development program with emphasis on the cognitive, social and emotional development of preschool-aged children. Your day will involve assisting the Lead Teacher in planning and providing quality educational experiences for preschool-aged children, engaging in adult-child interactions, and participating in daily activities planned for the children.

What You Will Do

Assists the Lead Teacher in planning and providing quality educational experiences for preschool-aged children by helping to plan and prepare daily and weekly program experiences, considering the needs of children. Engages in adult-child interactions that are responsive, supportive, and respectful of children's needs, development, and play interests. Participates in the daily activities planned for the children.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent credential, Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, or equivalent
