Role OverviewThe Health Information Systems Specialist will provide technical expertise in the administration, maintenance, and optimization of health information systems. This role involves managing electronic health records (EHRs), administering user accounts, ensuring interoperability of clinical applications, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

The specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for users on health information systems, provide technical assistance to resolve application issues, monitor application performance, maintain and optimize applications, administer user accounts, and extract and analyze data for reporting purposes.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Healthcare, or related field
- Minimum one year of experience providing technical support for clinical applications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) applications and health information technologies
- In-depth knowledge of HIPAA regulations, coding standards (ICD, CPT, etc.), and healthcare privacy practices
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI)
