Job Description
The Healthcare Workforce Project Manager role involves advancing rural health workforce transformation through strategic planning, program development, and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements

  • Designs and implements workforce initiatives, including pre-employment and incumbent worker job training, career and technical education, and professional development programs.
  • Develops, monitors, and manages contracts with subrecipients, grantees, and vendors to ensure program compliance and performance.
  • Creates and maintains performance tracking and reporting systems to evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Develops and applies program evaluation tools to measure outcomes and inform decision-making.
  • Serves as a member of internal teams to ensure project compliance with requirements and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Manages engagement with state staff, private sector partners, and other key stakeholders to foster collaboration.
  • Facilitates internal and external communications, including contact management, email campaigns, website updates, and outreach via Constant Contact.
  • Builds high-level subject-matter expertise in health system and workforce development planning, policy, and programs.
  • Leads or supports initiatives to increase healthcare career awareness, develop career ladders, apprenticeships, and other pathways for career advancement.
  • Analyzes health workforce data to inform policy and program development, supporting efforts to increase access, affordability, and completion of healthcare education.
  • Provides workforce-related resources and support to colleagues across health and human services sectors, including behavioral health, oral health, and long-term care.
  • Conducts research on state and national workforce and education policies to inform ongoing initiatives.
