Role Overview

PACCAR Financial is seeking a Truck Technician to join our Used Truck Center in Spartanburg, SC. As a Truck Technician, you will perform a variety of skilled tasks including proper maintenance and repair of Class 6/7/8 Diesel Powered Trucks. You will work during core business hours, Monday through Friday, and perform diagnostic inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs to truck-tractor components. You will also provide superior customer service to all of PACCAR's clients.

What You Will Do

Perform diagnostic inspections on general truck-tractor systems, perform preventative maintenance inspections of truck-tractor components, perform repairs to truck-tractor components, and complete required paperwork to reflect hours, parts, and supplies utilized within each job function.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on diesel technician experience
  • General knowledge of major truck components and systems
  • Proven track record of quality workmanship with minimal rework
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety with demonstrated knowledge of shop safety protocols
  • Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of standing and working for extended periods
  • Comfortable performing work under vehicles and engine bays
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of diesel mechanic work
