Job Description
Heavy equipment operator responsible for performing duties related to operating heavy equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and participating in skilled maintenance activities. Must possess a valid motor vehicle driver license, pass pre-employment drug test, and obtain Class A-CDL Texas Driver's License within 6 months of employment.

Requirements

  • Operate heavy equipment such as Gradall, tractor trailer, excavator, bulldozer, roller, dump trucks, concrete mixers, backhoes, forklifts, loaders, skid steer, concrete breaker, and/or other related items
  • Perform preventative maintenance on applicable equipment
  • Participate in monitoring and maintaining inventory levels
  • Perform skilled maintenance activities in assigned area of responsibility
  • Monitor the work of external contractors and ensure contract terms and specifications are met
  • Set up traffic warning devices and barricades and direct traffic around work sites
  • Complete logs, documents, and/or simple reports regarding equipment operations and/or other related information
  • Prepare and clean up work sites
  • Transport equipment and/or materials to designated job site(s)
  • Participate in winter weather operational activities
  • Respond to emergency operation and on-call situations
