Job Description
Academy Bus is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician to support IT systems administration, infrastructure, and end-user support across our Northeast locations.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software
  • Experience setting up and supporting Windows desktop systems
  • Solid troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Willingness and openness to learning new technologies
  • Experience with some or all of the following technologies: Windows network environment (on-premises Active Directory), Microsoft Office 365, Cisco routers, firewalls, switches, and VPN, VMware Horizon and Hyper-V virtual servers and desktops, Rapid7 InsightIDR and InsightVM, SentinelOne Endpoint Protection and EDR, Hosted VoIP phone systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 5+ years of relevant IT support or help desk experience preferred
  • Familiarity with antivirus, vulnerability management, and patch management tools
  • Understanding of mobile devices and operating systems (Android and iOS)
  • Exposure to VMware or virtualization technologies is a plus
