Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced High School World History Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a deep understanding of world history. As a High School World History Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans, grading assignments, and providing feedback to students.

What You Will Do

Create and implement lesson plans, grade assignments, provide feedback to students, maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment, and encourage student participation and a love of learning.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher with at least 24 credit hours in content area
  • Valid State of Louisiana Teaching Certificate/License for grades 6-12
  • At least one (or more) of the following: National Board Certification, TAP Experience, Core Knowledge Experience, Blended Learning Experience, At least two years of successful teaching in an urban environment
  • Strong technical skills, particularly in integrating technology in the classroom to drive academic achievement
  • Can demonstrate strong classroom management skills
  • Demonstrated volunteer or community service
