Role OverviewHDR is an employee-owned firm seeking a Highway Bridge EIT/Designer to apply structural engineering and detailing techniques in the development of bridge designs. The role involves working on projects including bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable) box culvert, and interchange design for highway and railway projects. This position is based in Missoula, Montana.
What You Will Do
You will perform structural load calculations, assist with geometric layout and quantity development, and select standard bridge engineering/design procedures. You will develop structural details using specialized software and participate in bridge inspection. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and knowledge of engineering software packages such as: LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, midas Civil, CSiBridge, RM Bridge, spColumn, STLBridgeLRFD, or STLBridge
- Bently OpenBridge Modeler and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d
- Strong understanding and hands-on use of computers for structural layout and design
- Good communication skills and willing to work in a team environment
