Highway Engineering Project Manager

We are seeking a Highway Engineering Project Manager to join our team in Blacksburg, VA. The successful candidate will play an important role in expanding our market presence companywide, developing and/or managing roadway design and plan production for highway projects, and interacting with clients.

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and/or managing roadway design and plan production for highway projects, including geometric design, drainage design, signing and pavement marking design, utility coordination, maintenance of traffic design, contract document development, and quality control reviews.

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience in highway design/project management
• Associate's degree in engineering or related major, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Virginia Professional Engineer license preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of VDOT construction plans, specifications, policies, and procedures required
• Experience managing roadway projects and preparing contract documents in accordance with VDOT policies and procedures required
• Excellent communication and business development skills
• Ability to travel to project sites, company offices and client meetings
• Positive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others
• Willingness to continue to learn and grow technically and professionally within the company
